Season 2 | Episode 7: The Ways We Cope with Becky Page, Part 2
Welcome back to The Mosaic Life Podcast. Friends, we are continuing our series of conversations centered around The Ways We Cope. Before I go on I want to mention that everyone copes. Coping is generally defined as the cognitive and behavioral efforts that are used to manage stress.
Significant life events, whether positive or negative can cause stress and drift: things like divorce, loss, grief, trauma, getting married, or having babies. To adjust to stress, some people may employ various behaviors, thoughts, and emotions, depending on the situation. You may not find yourself attending recovery meetings. You may not struggle with hard drugs. And, alcohol may not be an issue for you. You may, however, need to make some minor adjustments, because of life’s circumstances, having been misused, stagnant, or feeling stretched and you are coping, in order to MAKE IT through the day. If this is you or someone you know this volume of conversations is for you!
Today, Becky Page and I continue our conversation from last week. We went long and I wanted to continue our talk. If you missed part 1, I invite you to take the time to go back and listen, because we set the foundation for this series. Today, we will dive deeper into her story, hear about the ways in which she experienced the Lord’s pursuit of her life, and how she came to understand addiction and recovery.
